Located in the North Cascades, Found Lake is one of the most challenging “day hikes” that we did last summer. The road gives up a few hundred feet from the trailhead due to multiple washouts. From the trailhead, the former dirt road is overgrown but it meanders its way up the hillside, until you get to a clearing. From there, it is straight-up them Mountain until you get to the saddle point. Once you are there, its a pretty steep trip down to the lake. A tough hike but the views are well worth it.
